The authorCharlaine Harris has been a published novelist for over twenty-five years. A native of the Mississippi Delta, she grew up in the middle of a cotton field. Now she lives in southern Arkansas with her husband, her three children, three dogs, and a duck. The duck stays outside. The reviewPoor Sookie again. She gets harassed and beaten up like on every day in this book. I felt I read a story lasting 3 days and she got beaten 6 times. Still this lady rocks the world cause she just pulls up her shoulder and moves on.... or not so much but eh.Again a very entertaining story about Sookie. It does get a bit much of the same in the books but on the other hand it is not going from bad to worse. I do not think I can read many of these books right after each other but after the last couple of books a few of the Stackhouse series are making up for the heavy feeling the other books left me with. They are easy to pick up and leave again. Though there is some explanation I advice to read all the books in the correct order. The story piles up on previous events and even though the story is not that difficult to follow you might miss out on a few nice details.
