Dead in the Family (Sookie Stackhouse, #10)

Dead in the Family (Sookie Stackhouse, #10) - Charlaine Harris AuthorCharlaine Harris has been a published novelist for over twenty-five years. A native of the Mississippi Delta, she grew up in the middle of a cotton field. Now she lives in southern Arkansas with her husband, her three children, three dogs, and a duck. The duck stays outside.ReviewAnother entertaining read. What I like a lot about this series is that the books do not all follow a certrain route this makes that you really get the idea there is time and thought invested in writing them. The tone of this book is more adult too compared to former books. Where Sookie declares a lot of people around her, especially her brother Jason, are growing up the book takes on a more serious tone too without taking out the easy read characteristics. I also like that Sookie is getting a stronger female character. In the earlier books I always experienced her as dependant when it came to the male characters she was in love with. She would swoon and do evertyhing and anything. No despite her special bond with Eric she stands up to him and points out her own rights.
