AuthorCharlaine Harris has been a published novelist for over twenty-five years. A native of the Mississippi Delta, she grew up in the middle of a cotton field. Now she lives in southern Arkansas with her husband, her three children, three dogs, and a duck. The duck stays outside.ReviewAnother Sookie book as I am trying to finish up my series challenge. Again the tone in this book is of the more mature kind. I like it better than the first books cause it is still a relaxed not very complicated on the brains read without being boring in its simplicity. I like Sookies development as she becomes more and more awareof herself and what being so close to all the weird creatures does to her. I like the development in her friendship with Pam and how that is approached. It is nice that the books do not follow the same setup. This book holds several situations and you never know which one of them is being solved in the book and which will linger on. This keeps the story interesting enough and makes that you want to read the next books too.
